Preservation in Action: Serra Chapel Lighting Project
From Monday, September 28 - Friday, October 16, Serra Chapel will undergo a three-week lighting improvement project.
The project will take place in phases, while pews are temporarily relocated to install new lighting fixtures and systems. Serra Chapel will remain partially open for viewing during the project.
The lighting project is an important step in our ongoing efforts to better showcase the historic liturgical paintings and retablo within the Chapel. The last system was installed during the 2005-2008 Serra Chapel Conservation Project.
Thank you for your patience as we make these important improvements to Serra Chapel. This preservation priority is funded by private gifts and proceeds from the gala. Thank you to everyone who helps through membership or donations, so that we can preserve this wonderful place.
