Our state joined the union 176 years ago today!
Laguna Art Museum exclusively collects California-based artworks, showcasing the intersection of art, history and nature. Currently, the museum is focused on acquiring pieces by key California artists, ensuring equal representation of women. Many of the works in the collection explore the intersection of art and nature through natural landscapes, urban scenery or ecological artworks that provoke dialogue on environmental issues.
The collection spans from 1860 to the present, and has been developed almost exclusively through the generous contributions of artists, galleries and private individuals.
