The community is invited to a special November 6 celebration unveiling a one-of-a-kind quilt created by community members in honor of America’s 250th anniversary.
Hosted by the Mission Viejo Library, the celebration, which begins at 6 pm, will feature music, light refreshments and brief remarks recognizing this meaningful community achievement.
What began with the addition of sewing machines at the library blossomed into a wonderful community collaboration. Throughout the year, residents came together to learn basic sewing and quilting skills, participate in classes and create red, white and blue quilt blocks to contribute to the project.
