Save the date - August 16 - our rare Electra will be taking to the skies on our Heritage Flight! You won't want to miss this piece of history!

The most famous Electra was purchased by Purdue University, for Amelia Earhart. Although she and her airplane vanished July 3, 1937 during her around the world flight, the thrill of watching this historic Lockheed creation take to the skies again will be an amazing sight.

Yanks Air Museum

Chino, CA

Yanks Air Museum will fly this rare 1930’s-era glistening, low wing, monoplane, soaring over Chino, CA on the Museum’s Heritage Flight. Similar to Amelia Earhart's airplane, this was the first twin engine aircraft built by Lockheed and the first all metal airplane ever produced. The C-40 (model 12-A) was the fastest transport airplane in the field. It out-climbed and out-flew any other twin. Come get a close up look at history and discover an amazing airplane.
